“we arrived very late at night. The shuttle wait was not long. We were soon checked in and off to bed. The breakfast was basic, but was appreciated since there is nothing else nearby. No complaints.”

“Fire place wasn't working for us and the heater was so loud we had to turn it off. Would have been nice to be able to use the fireplace. Told in the morning that the fireplaces were tricky. Would have been nice if there was a note to say to call front desk if it would not work for us. You could not hear the tv with the heat system on.”

“I arrived at the hotel around 1:30 am. There were several people stood around, seated at tables and two sleeping on a couch. The internet was down and people had been waiting for 2 hours to check in. I was told by those already waiting it could be 5 am before we could be checked in. The gentleman at the front desk handled the situation with professionalism. He answered questions as best he could and worked diligently to manually check people in. Manual check-in involved checking digital...

“Overall an ok stay. Super clean and charming, unbeatable location. Some details could make the experience 5 star. All doors are very squeaky, which was disruptive in the middle of the night. There is virtually no sound barrier between the room and hallway, so it feels like you can hear other people breathing through the walls. The bed was VERY low to the ground and mattress felt cheap and dated. A few improved details would really make this place a hidden gem. ”

“We had a great stay at the Lord Nelson Inn & Suites. Its central location worked out great, between spending time at Dalhousie and the waterfront. The staff were super friendly and the rooms were comfortable with everything that you’d need. Will definitely be staying there again.”

“The place was nice, parking was not too bad. For my family and me, the beds were too firm, and the pillows were bother too much and not enough. The tissues and toilet paper were very thin and rough, but these are just little gripes. Over all, the room was fine.”

“The check-in process and parking was easy enough. Our room was pretty well clean except for the side tables by the bed we’re dirty as well as there was hair in the shower and our bathroom sink had a crack in it.”
